Características destacadas

  • The 8-port 16-wavelength combiner innovatively adopts the colored optical technology and is used in combination with core or access switches equipped with pluggable colored optical transceivers.
  • The dual-slot design provides 24 ports for device access per slot and a maximum of 48 ports for device access at full load. The device uses six WDM optical fibers for output.
  • The passive network design supports direct replacement of distribution switches without requirement for O&M of ELV rooms.
  • Exclusive Gigabit/10G fiber to the room is supported and the bandwidth can be upgraded easily. Transparent distribution devices can be retained during the upgrade.
  • Multiple installation modes are available for selection.

RG-DEMUX/MUX Series 24-Port Combiner/Transparent Distribution Device

They are applied to enterprise-class all-optical network scenarios. The products innovatively combine the colored optical technology with passive devices using the Ethernet architecture to physically isolate channels of the device. They can be used together with Simplified Optical Ethernet solution 2.X to make distribution nodes passive completely and achieve 1G/10G bandwidth to the room.

Specifications

Installation Modes

The Ethernet architecture is transformed from three tiers to two tiers, and the building ELV rooms are truly passive and exempt from O&M management

The RG-DEMUX/MUX series combiner/transparent distribution device use the passive network design, replacing distribution switches. The devices from the core side to the access side are directly connected in a point-to-point manner. The controller displays the topology of the entire network, including port usage. This allows you to respond to link failures in a timely manner.

Solution Advantages

Topology Comparison

For example, an office building has 6 floors, with 2 ELV risers and 20 rooms on each floor, and 4 information points in each room.

Exclusive 1G/10G bandwidth to room, ease of link upgrade, no need to replace transparent distribution devices

Exclusive bandwidth

Ease of Bandwidth Expansion

1:1 bandwidth for FTTR, zero optical splitting, and no convergence. The access-side port rate is the same as the core-side port rate, implementing point-to-point transparent transmission.
